􀂄 Wholesale price index based inflation soared to a 15-month
high of 8.56% for the month of January, with the data showing

􀂄 U.K. inflation probably accelerated in January to a 14-month
high, enough to trigger a public letter of explanation from
Bank of England Governor Mervyn King.Consumer prices
rose 3.5 percent from a year earlier, compared with a 2.9
