􀂄 Hindalco has raised $600 million (approx. Rs 2,789 crore)
by selling shares to institutional investors. The issue that
was launched on Monday, diluted Hindalco's equity capital
by 11% and pared down the promoter shareholding. - ET

􀂄 Suzlon Energy signed an agreement with Australia's Infigen
Energy to provide 20 units of wind power generators with a
capacity to generate 42 MW. - ET

􀂄 JSW Steel, which last week tied up with Japanese steel
giant JFE for technology, may sell as much as 40% in its
upcoming 10-million tonne steel unit in West Bengal to its
overseas partner. - ET

􀂄 Jubilant Organosys has formed a joint venture (JV) with the
University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) and Southern
Research Institute, US to develop new drugs to treat

􀂄 India has sought $2.96 billion loan from World Bank for
two-laning of over 17,000 km of national highway in the
country. A proposal has been forwarded to World Bank to
consider an assistance of USD 2.96 billion for development
of non-NHDP (National Highway Development Project)
