􀂄 Infosys Technologies would design and implement the
Research Informatics System (RISE) at Elan
Pharmaceuticals, Inc, to accelerate discovery research using
a co-creation engagement model that leverages Infosys'
existing intellectual property in this field. - ET

􀂄 Bajaj Auto today reported over two fold jump in its motorcycle
sales at 2,32,939 units in January.The company had sold

􀂄 Siemens Ltd, has received a contract from the Power Grid
Corporation of India to construct a new 765/400kV substation
at Meerut and augmentation of sub-stations at
Mandola (UP) and Baalabgarh (Haryana). – ET

will set up a coal-based thermal power project of 1320 MW

Macro Economic News

􀂄 Imports moved back to the positive terrain for the first time
since the financial crisis , clocking a 27% growth in
December, indicating that the domestic economy was well
on its way to recovery, aided by rapidly improving exports
that grew for the second successive month

Global Cues

European producer prices dropped on an annual basis for
a 12th month in December, the longest stretch of declines
in a decade, after the economic slump prompted companies
